Palermo's Parco Uditore remains open following regional meeting

The Parco Uditore in Palermo will remain open under its current management following a meeting between a delegation from the Sicilian Region and the park's coordinators. The discussion, held at Piazzale Einstein, aimed to address the ongoing management and financial challenges facing the urban garden.

Management representatives, including Piero D’Angelo, expressed a desire to continue operations but emphasized the need for concrete economic commitments from the Sicilian Region. While the park had briefly faced closure due to a lack of funding in the regional budget, the current management seeks written guarantees and financial support, potentially through the next budget law, to ensure long-term stability.

The group is seeking both immediate financial assistance to cover management expenses and legislative measures to guarantee continuous support in future years. For now, the gates remain open to the public.
