Palestine accuses Israel of undermining peace efforts

Palestinian Permanent Observer to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, has accused Israel of attempting to undermine peace efforts and facilitate the forced displacement of Palestinians. Speaking before the UN Security Council, Mansour highlighted Israel's takeover of the UNRWA Qalandia Training Center, where Israeli forces entered the premises and raised the Israeli flag, an act he described as a violation of UN immunity and the UN Charter.

Mansour further stated that Israeli annexation policies, including auction processes for the strategic E1 corridor connecting East Jerusalem to the West Bank, are destroying hopes for regional peace. He alleged that these actions are designed to sabotage a comprehensive peace plan supported by US President Donald Trump and UN resolutions. While Israel defends its actions by citing Hamas infiltration within UNRWA, Mansour warned that such moves constitute a “war against sovereignty” and urged the international community to provide immediate protection for the Palestinian people.
