Palestine launches digital driver's license home delivery service

The Palestinian Ministry of Transport and Communications and the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy have launched a new service in Al-Bireh that allows citizens to have their personal driver's licenses delivered directly to their homes.

Through the ‘Hukomati’ digital platform, citizens can renew their licenses electronically and pay for the service online. Once the renewal and payment are completed, the Palestinian Post will deliver the license to the user's home or current location for a delivery fee of one shekel. This promotional delivery rate will be available for six months following the launch.

Minister of Transport and Communications Mohammad Al-Ahmad stated that the initiative aims to improve service quality and reduce the need for citizens to visit ministry offices, which is particularly beneficial given road closures and checkpoints. Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Abdul Razzaq Al-Natsheh added that the ministry is focusing on infrastructure, noting that 4G services are expected to launch by the end of this year.
