Palestinian Ambassador expresses hope for Indonesians to pray at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia, Abdulfattah A. K. Al-Sattari, expressed his hope that the Indonesian people will one day be able to perform prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque as freedom and peace are realized in Palestine.

Speaking at the inauguration of the 2026 Palestine Solidarity Month at Monas, Jakarta, Al-Sattari emphasized that the independence of Palestine and the liberation of the Al-Aqsa Mosque remain the central goals of the Palestinian struggle. He noted that the status of the holy site in East Jerusalem remains a primary issue in the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The Ambassador also expressed gratitude for the support of the Indonesian people, stating that their prayers provide strength to the Palestinian people. He remarked that global support for Palestine is increasing and asserted that Israeli political dynamics or election results would not alter the determination of the Palestinian people to defend their homeland.
