Palestinian banks participate in Sibos 2026 conference in Miami

Palestinian financial institutions, including Bank of Palestine and Bankwatch, participated in the Sibos 2026 conference held in Miami from September 28 to October 1. The global event, which gathers over 10,000 financial leaders and experts from more than 160 countries, focused on the theme ‘Digital finance for AI-driven economies’.

Bank of Palestine was represented by Vice Chairman Duraid Jarab and CEO Mohammed Shawar. The bank aims to strengthen its international presence, develop relationships with correspondent banks, and explore advancements in cross-border payments, digital assets, and artificial intelligence in financial services.

Similarly, Bankwatch participated with a delegation including Vice Chairman Nimr Abdel Wahid, CEO Louay Hawash, and Head of Banking Operations Mahmoud Nawahdeh. The bank utilized the forum to enhance strategic communications with international financial institutions and to keep pace with global innovations in securities, foreign exchange, and digital trade.
