Palestinian diaspora representatives elected in Bahrain and Qatar

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has congratulated newly elected members of the Palestinian National Council representing diaspora communities in Bahrain and Qatar.

In Bahrain, Dr. Tamer Kadash was elected to represent the Palestinian community following an electoral college system held at the Palestinian Embassy. President Abbas emphasized the importance of continuing the electoral process for diaspora communities to strengthen Palestinian participation in national life. He also expressed appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s support in facilitating the elections.

In Qatar, Mohannad Al-Shorbagy and Emad Al-Balawi were elected to represent the Palestinian community in Doha. The election was conducted via an electoral college involving eight candidates. President Abbas extended his congratulations to the winners, noting the significance of these elections in enhancing the representation of Palestinians both at home and abroad. He also commended the government of Qatar for its support in hosting the process.
