Palestinian factions call for international action against Israeli escalation

Palestinian national and Islamic factions held a meeting on Monday to address the ongoing escalation of Israeli military actions, siege, and killings against the Palestinian people. The factions stated that the current actions demonstrate a systematic escalation by the occupation government.

The groups called for international intervention to impose boycotts and isolation on the occupation, demanding legal accountability for its actions and the protection of Palestinian citizens and holy Islamic and Christian sites. They also highlighted the death of a prisoner in custody due to alleged torture, isolation, and medical neglect, calling for urgent action from international human rights institutions.

To address internal stability, the factions emphasized the importance of comprehensive national dialogue and unity. They stressed the need to ensure the success of the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for November 28, as well as subsequent elections for the National Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization, to facilitate participation from residents in both the Gaza Strip and Jerusalem.
