Palestinian girl injured at Qalandia checkpoint amid West Bank military restrictions

A Palestinian girl was injured by Israeli military fire early Sunday at the Qalandia checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah. While Israeli forces claimed the woman attempted a stabbing with a knife, local reports suggest she may have accidentally entered a vehicle lane before being shot.

In the West Bank, military operations have intensified, with closures at the Atara and Ein Sinia checkpoints, as well as entrances to Aboud and Nabi Saleh. These restrictions have caused significant traffic congestion and forced residents to use alternative routes. Additionally, in the village of Al-Mughayyir, Israeli forces reportedly seized a home, converting it into a military barracks for 48 hours after forcing the occupants to leave.

In the Gaza Strip, an Israeli drone strike targeted a tent housing displaced persons near the Sheikh Radwan market in northern Gaza City, injuring five people. This follows reports of ongoing casualties in the region, with local sources noting significant death and injury tolls since the previous October.
