Palestinian Government implements relief and development programs in West Bank and Gaza

The Palestinian Government has implemented a series of developmental, relief, and reform interventions across the West Bank and Gaza Strip between September 20 and 26. These efforts spanned multiple sectors, including education, agriculture, water, social protection, labor, infrastructure, and energy.

In the education sector, new schools were opened in Al-Bireh and Nablus, and scholarship programs were announced for the 2026-2027 academic year. Agricultural initiatives included livestock vaccinations for hundreds of farmers and the opening of new agricultural roads in Jenin. In Gaza, water authority repairs to sewage and water networks benefited approximately 54,000 citizens, while repairs to a main line improved supply for 250,000 people.

Social protection measures included food and cash assistance for families in the West Bank and various food and water interventions in Gaza. Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa emphasized the need to transition from supporting the establishment of a Palestinian state to its actual realization, outlining five priorities through 2027: protecting sovereignty, early recovery in Gaza, national unity, building a sustainable economy, and enhancing Palestine’s international standing.
