Palestinian national team plays friendly in Konya as part of Palestine Day

The Palestinian national reserve team traveled to Konya, Turkey, to participate in ‘Palestine Day’ festivities, which included a friendly football match against the Turkish club Konya Spor.

Jibril Rajoub, President of the Palestinian Football Association, addressed the players, describing them as ‘ambassadors of a sacred cause.’ He emphasized that the match, held under the slogan ‘Our home is your home,’ highlights the difficulties the Palestinian team faces in playing international matches on their own soil due to occupation and movement restrictions.

The event was organized in coordination with the Turkish Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Konya Metropolitan Municipality, and the OIC Youth Forum. The program featured cultural workshops, art exhibitions, and sessions such as the ‘Gaza Court’ and the Palestinian Youth Forum.
