Palestinian PM announces 66 urgent interventions for targeted areas
Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa has announced the implementation of 66 urgent government interventions to support targeted areas. These measures, which include financial support, are designed to respond to pressing needs identified by local councils and citizens during recent ministerial tours aimed at enhancing community resilience.
In light of the approaching fourth year of war in the Gaza Strip, the Cabinet warned of continuing catastrophic humanitarian conditions caused by ongoing bombardment, starvation, and blockade. The Council emphasized the necessity of ensuring that humanitarian aid, including tents and tarpaulins, reaches displaced and affected families in Gaza free of charge, while strictly prohibiting the sale or trafficking of such supplies.
The government also highlighted its previous efforts through the Ministry of Local Government and the Municipal Fund, which have implemented over 1,661 projects costing approximately 1.3 billion shekels for infrastructure and emergency response. Additionally, the Cabinet discussed a draft general amnesty law to reduce pending criminal cases and a new regulatory framework for electric bicycles and scooters.
