Palfinger begins construction of new production site in Slovenia

Austrian crane and lifting technology manufacturer Palfinger has commenced construction of a new production site in Ormož, Slovenia. The project involves a 70 million euro investment, which includes 16.8 million euros in state support.

The new facility will span 18.5 hectares and is designed to include modern production capacities, a logistics center, and an educational center. Production is scheduled to begin in 2028. This expansion aims to strengthen Palfinger's European production network, building on its 30-year presence in Slovenia.

State Secretary Zdravko Počivalšek attended the groundbreaking ceremony, noting that the investment represents a significant development opportunity for the Ormož region and highlights the importance of economic growth as a driver for national development.
