Palghar: Three workers dead in Tina Rubber Factory wall collapse
Three workers died following a wall collapse at the Tina Rubber Factory in the Pali Posheri area of Palghar district, Maharashtra. The incident occurred around 10:00 am on Thursday at the manufacturing unit located along the Vikramgad-Wada road.
The victims, identified as Keshav Gunguna (55), Ranjana Komb (35), and Mira Gawli (60), were reportedly having breakfast in a storeroom when the interior wall caved in. Emergency responders rushed the individuals to a nearby hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
Local officials, including Palghar disaster management officer Vivekanand Kadam, stated that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examinations. Preliminary assessments by Apti gram panchayat sarpanch Pramod Patil suggest the collapse may have been caused by structural overload, as a large number of heavy sacks were stacked directly against the wall.
