Palhares and Galvao to rematch at ACBJJ 23 in Rio de Janeiro

Rousimar Palhares and Andre Galvao are set to face each other in a rematch at ACBJJ 23 on November 13 in Rio de Janeiro. The bout will take place at the 100-kilogram weight class under combat jiu-jitsu rules, which permit punches and kicks to the body but prohibit strikes to the head.

The matchup revisits their 2011 ADCC final in Nottingham, England, where Galvao defeated Palhares to win the under-88-kilogram title. The upcoming event at Farmasi Arena features a co-main event between Kelvin Gastelum and Rodolfo Vieira, competing at 88 kilograms under standard grappling rules.

ACBJJ has announced that the event will be live-streamed via its official YouTube, X, and VK channels. A press conference is scheduled for November 12, preceding the main show.
