Pali teenager detained for allegedly killing grandfather

A 16-year-old student has been detained for the alleged murder of his 85-year-old grandfather in the Pali district of Rajasthan. Police stated the killing was motivated by domestic issues.

The teenager allegedly carried out the attack with the assistance of a friend, using a screwdriver and a knife. The victim's body, which showed signs of stabbing and strangulation, was recovered from near a river on August 12 after local residents alerted authorities. The suspect reportedly used a scooter to transport the body in a sack to the river site.

Investigators discovered that the minor had conducted online searches regarding methods of committing murder and the physical pressure required to cause death by strangulation. In addition to the teenager, police have arrested a friend and a 50-year-old farm watchman in connection with the case.
