Palinuro camping facility seized for illegal operation

Authorities have seized an 8,000-square-meter tourist camping facility in Palinuro, located within the municipality of Centola. The preventive seizure was ordered by the Prosecutor's Office of Vallo della Lucania and executed by the Carabinieri of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park.

Investigations conducted in collaboration with the technical offices of the Municipality of Centola revealed that the complex lacked all necessary urban planning and landscape authorizations. The facility was also operating without permits for maritime state land occupation or for the legal disposal of liquid waste and sludge.

The site is situated in a high-value environmental area near the shoreline, protected by the Cilento Coast Landscape Territorial Plan. This action follows a previous seizure in July, when eight mobile homes were confiscated within the same site for illegal installation involving unauthorized water and sewage connections.
