Palio della Quercia to feature Gabby Thomas and Nadia Battocletti

The 62nd Palio Città della Quercia, a Silver-level World Athletics Continental Tour meeting, is scheduled for Tuesday, September 8, at the Stadio Quercia in Rovereto, Italy.

The event features a high-profile international lineup. American sprinter Gabby Thomas, a three-time Olympic champion from Paris, will compete in the 100 meters against athletes such as Cambrea Sturgis and Sabrina Dockery.

Italian middle-distance runner Nadia Battocletti, who recently set a new Italian record in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:57.54, will compete in the 1500 meters. She faces international competition including Susan Ejore Snaders, Sarah Healy, and Nelly Jepkosgei.

Additionally, European triple jump champion Andy Diaz will participate in the triple jump, following his recent Diamond League victory. The meeting will be broadcast live on RaiSport and streamed via RaiPlay.
