Palio di Pesaro 2026 traffic changes slated for August 1‑2

Temporary road closures and circulation restrictions will be implemented in Pesaro for the Palio di Pesaro on Saturday 1 August and Sunday 2 August 2026. The measures, set out in ordinances No. 1614 (24 July) and No. 1642 (29 July), affect the area around piazzale Matteotti and the Rocca Costanza complex.

On Saturday, after 17:30, vehicles will be prohibited on Corso XI Settembre, piazza del Popolo, via San Francesco and surrounding streets, with additional parking bans on Via Don Minzoni, Via Marsala, Via Cialdini, Via Buozzi, Via San Francesco and Viale Piave. Similar restrictions will apply on Sunday from 13:30 to 17:00, coinciding with the arrival of the historic contrade processions, extending to Via Branca, piazzale Lazzarini, Viale Verdi and other nearby roads.

Free summer shuttle services “Viale Trieste” and “Sottomonte” will be rerouted away from Via Don Minzoni and will use the Adriatic State Road (Via Verdi) to re‑enter the city centre during both days.
