Palio Marinaro 2026 rowing race set for Venice

The centennial edition of the Palio Marinaro rowing competition will take place on Saturday, 27 June, at the water mirror in front of the Terrazza Mascagni in Venice. Starting positions have been drawn: the Borgo crew occupies lane 1, while Venice starts from lane 7, with Labrone in lane 6. The traditional ten‑rower women's race will not be held; instead, the girls will compete in four‑person boats.

The event marks 100 years since the modern incarnation of the Palio Marinaro began and includes races for juniors, seniors and a special minipalio for women, culminating with the senior ten‑rower race at 19:45.
