Pallacanestro Trieste signs NBA Draft pick Lajae Jones

Pallacanestro Trieste has officially signed American forward Lajae Jones for the 2026-27 season. The 2.01-meter, 100-kilogram player joins the club following a collegiate career in the United States and a selection in the 2026 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors.

Jones played for several programs, including Tarleton State Texans, Barton Community College—where he was a JUCO national champion and finals MVP—St. Bonaventure, and most recently the Florida State Seminoles. During his time at Florida State, he averaged 12.7 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, earning a spot on the ACC second team.

Trieste General Manager Michael Arcieri described Jones as a versatile player capable of impacting the game on both sides of the court. The club also noted that they will collaborate with the Golden State Warriors' staff regarding Jones's player development.
