Palm Desert woman arrested for murder after fatal assault

A 65-year-old woman, Vicky Kim, has been arrested on murder charges following a fatal incident in Palm Desert, California. Authorities responded to a call regarding “unknown trouble” at a condo community in the 35000 block of Gateway Drive on Friday morning.

Upon arrival at The Enclave residential complex, deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office discovered a victim suffering from traumatic injuries consistent with a physical assault. The individual was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide investigators from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit have taken over the investigation. The identity of the victim is currently being withheld pending notification of their family. Officials have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances of the death.
