Palm oil TBS prices fluctuate across Indonesian provinces
Fresh fruit bunch (TBS) palm oil prices for smallholders and plasma partners in several Indonesian provinces have shown varying trends for the late August 2026 period.
In Riau, prices for plasma partners increased by approximately 1.58 percent, reaching a high of Rp3,945.62 per kg for nine-year-old plants. Independent smallholders in Riau also saw increases, with nine-year-old plants priced at Rp3,878.72 per kg. These rises were driven by higher crude palm oil (CPO) and kernel prices.
North Sumatra reported price increases across all age groups, with 10–20 year old plants reaching Rp4,073.80 per kg. In Pasaman Barat, prices remained high, with several companies offering a peak price of Rp3,942.33 per kg for both plasma and independent partners.
Conversely, Jambi experienced a slight decrease in TBS prices. For the 10–20 year age group, the price dropped by Rp12.91 per kg to Rp3,866.47 per kg, influenced by fluctuations in CPO and kernel values.
