Palm Springs Pride festival begins amid shifting travel trends

The Palm Springs Pride festival is scheduled to run from November 6 to 8, marking the 40th anniversary of the event. To commemorate the occasion, the LGBTQ+ History and Archives of the Desert is releasing its full collection of Pride guides online for the first time, covering the history of the festival and the Coachella Valley from 1986 through 2025.

An exhibit titled “Palm Springs Pride: Then. Now. Next” will be held on Palm Canyon Drive during the festival weekend.

While local hotel managers report strong bookings for the fourth quarter and first quarter, regional travel data shows mixed trends. Palm Springs International Airport reported record passenger numbers in 2025, though 2026 is currently running slightly behind that pace. While domestic growth is offsetting some declines, Canadian arrivals have seen fluctuations, with some seasonal seat availability previously showing decreases.
