Palma and Fuerteventura roll out new citizen suggestion platforms
The Palma City Council has launched an online citizen platform to gather proposals for updating the city’s Accessibility Plan, which has not been revised since 2011. The site offers a questionnaire and an interactive map for residents to pinpoint accessibility issues, with a budget of €100,000 allocated for the new plan.
In the Canary Islands, the Cabildo of Fuerteventura has installed suggestion boxes in its four Information and Citizen Service Offices (Corralejo, Puerto del Rosario, Gran Tarajal and Morro Jable). The initiative, promoted by Councillor for Citizen Attention Nereida Calero, aims to create a direct channel for residents to submit ideas for improving public services as part of a broader modernization effort.
