Palma court summons activists over anti-tourism graffiti
A judge in Palma, Santiago Pinsach Estañolha, has summoned two activists to testify regarding graffiti allegedly left on five real estate properties in Santa Maria. The activists were detained in mid-July and are currently facing charges of property damage.
The two women, who were initially released without precautionary measures, had previously exercised their right to remain silent during their arrest. They subsequently requested to testify to provide their version of the events. The court has limited the current charges to property damage, moving away from an initial investigation by the Civil Guard that suggested involvement in a criminal group.
