Palma man arrested for arson at jet ski rental company

The Spanish National Police have arrested a man in Palma for allegedly setting fire to a jet ski rental company's facilities in the Molinar neighborhood. The incident occurred during the early hours of August 13.

The fire destroyed two jet skis, a trailer, and a nearby private vehicle, while also causing significant damage to the industrial warehouse's metal roof, facade, windows, and walls.

Investigations by the Grupo de Atracos revealed the fire was intentionally set. The suspect, a Spanish national, was a former customer of the business. The motive for the arson was reportedly a dispute over a security deposit that the owner had withheld due to damages found on the rented jet skis.
