Palma man arrested for assaulting and threatening roommate

A 44-year-old man has been arrested by the Palma Local Police following a violent assault and death threats against his female roommate in the Son Cladera neighborhood. The incident occurred on a Wednesday night around 11:30 PM.

The confrontation reportedly began in the kitchen after the man accused the woman of stealing a kitchen utensil. According to reports, the man grabbed the victim by her hair and threw her to the ground. As the woman attempted to flee toward her bedroom by crawling through the hallway, the man pursued her and struck her repeatedly.

Upon reaching her room, the woman attempted to barricade herself inside, but the man forced the door open with such violence that it damaged the wall frame. The impact knocked the victim to the floor, at which point the man lunged at her while issuing death threats. The woman was able to defend herself physically, eventually forcing the attacker to retreat from the room. While she reported significant pain in her forearms from using them as shields, police noted no major bleeding or life-threatening injuries.
