Palma police issue theft warnings following festival robberies

The National Police in Palma are issuing security recommendations for large-scale concerts following a wave of thefts at summer festivals. This follows the arrest and imprisonment of two individuals, an Italian and a Colombian, suspected of committing at least seven violent robberies during the Elrow festival at Son Fusteret on July 29.

During the event, officers responded to a disturbance where an off-duty police officer witnessed a suspect stealing a gold chain and passing it to an accomplice. Authorities advise attendees to keep personal belongings under constant control, avoid keeping phones or wallets in back pockets, and remain vigilant against unexpected shoving or crowding in large groups.
