Palma receives project for new Parc de la Música and amphitheater

The Palma City Council has received the architectural and landscape project for the future Parc de la Música in the Nou Llevant neighborhood. The project, designed by Antonio Obrador Studio, was donated to the municipality free of charge.

The new public space will cover more than 19,000 square meters and will feature green zones, walking areas, sports facilities, and playgrounds. A central element of the park is an outdoor amphitheater with a capacity for approximately 680 to 700 spectators. This venue is intended to complement the Caja de la Música, which will serve as the future headquarters for the Balearic Islands Symphony Orchestra (OSIB).

Mayor Jaime Martínez indicated that the tender for the works is already considered in next year's budget, with construction potentially beginning in 2028. The park aims to create a new cultural meeting point, allowing for outdoor concerts and the broadcasting of OSIB performances via large screens.
