Palma Soriano residents face six-month water shortage

Residents of Palma Soriano, in the Santiago de Cuba region, report enduring more than six months without a consistent water supply through local networks. The shortage has forced inhabitants, including children and seniors, to rely on water trucks to secure basic needs.

Local officials and water utility representatives have reportedly been informed that the issue stems from a street disconnection. While plans were made to perform repairs using an excavator, residents claim that no intervention has occurred despite repeated complaints. Community members have noted that similar severe service irregularities have affected other nearby areas, such as Mutilao, La Cuba, and San Luis, for several months to a year.
