Palmas administration initiates legal recruitment and housing audits

The City of Palmas has formalized the hiring of Fundação Carlos Chagas to manage a public competition for the Municipal Attorney General's Office (PGM). The contract, valued at R$ 566,058.00, covers all stages of the process, from drafting the notice to the final ratification of results. The municipal Secretary of Planning and Management, André Fagundes Cheguhem, stated that the exams are expected to take place in the first half of 2027.

Separately, the Palmas administration has established a Permanent Processing Commission to investigate potential contractual violations in social interest housing projects managed by the Municipal Secretariat of Infrastructure and Housing (Seihab). The commission will investigate cases of abandonment, unauthorized rentals, or the transfer of properties to third parties, particularly within projects linked to the Growth Acceleration Program (PAC). Confirmed irregularities may result in the loss of housing benefits and disqualification from future housing programs.
