Palmas administration meets with municipal unions to discuss demands

Palmas municipal unions salary adjustment public servants retirement programs

Officials from the Palmas City Hall met with representatives from five municipal unions on Monday to discuss various labor demands. The meeting included the Chief of Staff, Carlos Júnior, and the Secretary of Planning and Management, André Fagundes Cheguhem.

Key topics of discussion included the annual salary adjustment mandated by Law No. 3.421/2023, which designates October as the month for annual reviews of public servants in the direct and indirect administration. Other issues addressed were the potential for new appointments in the education and health sectors, as well as the regulation of the Incentivized Retirement Program (PAI) and Special Retirement.

Officials presented the current budgetary scenario to the union leaders. A follow-up meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, the 22nd, to continue the dialogue and work toward a resolution regarding the base date for salary adjustments.
