Palmas launches debt negotiation program with up to 100% discounts

The City of Palmas has launched the ‘Regulariza Palmas’ program, allowing citizens to negotiate taxable and non-taxable debts with the municipality. Through a new Tax Transaction Portal, taxpayers can access discounts of up to 100% on fines and interest, with options to installment payments for up to 120 months.

The program offers two negotiation formats: Individual Transaction and Edital Adhesion. Individual Transactions are reserved for consolidated debts exceeding R$100,000.00 and are negotiated case-by-case with a technical committee. The Edital Adhesion is a standardized self-service modality for debts up to R$100,000.00, covering Service Tax (ISS), administrative fines, and other public prices.

Negotiations are conducted entirely online via the Tax Transaction Portal, integrated with the gov.br login system. The program aims to increase efficiency and reduce bureaucracy by providing a paperless, queue-free process.
