IFSP secures R$ 10 million for research and launches social inclusion initiatives

The Instituto Federal de São Paulo (IFSP) is implementing several institutional initiatives. The institution has been awarded approximately R$ 10 million through a Finep public call to fund the expansion of multi-user food technology infrastructure at the Matão Innovation Pole. This funding will support the construction of a new building for the IFSP Embrapii Unit, dedicated exclusively to research.

In terms of social policy, IFSP has opened a public consultation for its academic community regarding a resolution to reserve spots in entrance selection processes for trans, intersex, and non-binary individuals. The consultation period runs until September 15, 2026.

Additionally, the institute has released the final results of a Portuguese language proficiency assessment for foreigners, immigrants, and refugees. This certification is a key step for those seeking naturalization in Brazil. Other recent activities include a book launch regarding grape production in Palmeira D’Oeste and a call for student scholarship holders to manage the institution's social media presence.
