Palmeiras faces tactical shifts during FIFA international break

The FIFA international break has presented unique tactical challenges for Palmeiras manager Abel Ferreira. Due to numerous player call-ups, including key figures such as Gómez, Piquerez, and Arias, Ferreira has been forced to train without a significant portion of his professional squad, relying instead on youth academy players to fill the gaps.

This period of forced experimentation may impact the team's established hierarchy. As the club prepares for a dense schedule involving the Brasileirão, Libertadores, and Copa do Brasil, Ferreira must decide whether to return to his standard lineup or implement new configurations discovered during the break.

Concurrently, youth players Heittor and Erick Belé have used the international window to showcase their talent with the Brazil U-20 national team in Spain. Following strong performances, including goals and assists in matches against the United States and Denmark, both players are expected to return to Palmeiras seeking increased playing time in the professional squad.
