Palmeiras organizes special flights for international call-ups

Palmeiras has organized a special logistics operation involving three chartered flights to facilitate the return of eight players called up for international duty during the FIFA Date. The club aims to minimize travel fatigue for the athletes before their upcoming Campeonato Brasileiro match against Bahia.

The called-up players represent four different national teams: Paraguay (Ramón Sosa, Maurício, and Gustavo Gómez), Colombia (Jhon Arias), Uruguay (Joaquín Piquerez and Emiliano Martínez), and Argentina (Agustín Giay and Flaco López).

Due to these absences, head coach Abel Ferreira has been training with a reduced squad, providing opportunities for reserve and youth players. Assistant coach João Martins noted that the break will allow for physical and mental recovery following an intense schedule of matches.
