Palmeiras rejects Napoli's 13 million euro offer for Agustín Giay

Palmeiras has rejected an official transfer proposal from the Italian club Napoli for Argentine right-back Agustín Giay. The offer, reported to be 13 million euros (approximately 78.2 million reais), was deemed insufficient by the Brazilian club's management.

Giay, 22, has been a regular fixture in the squad under manager Abel Ferreira, recently recording his first professional assist in a match against Santos. His contract with Palmeiras runs until September 2030 and includes a release clause valued at 100 million US dollars.

While Napoli has shown sustained interest in the player, other European clubs including Roma, Atlético de Madrid, and Como have previously been linked to the defender. The negotiations currently remain stalled following Palmeiras' refusal of the latest bid.
