Palmeiras renews contract with left-back Arthur until 2030

Palmeiras has reached an agreement to renew the contract of 21-year-old left-back Arthur. The renewal, confirmed by youth coordinator João Paulo Sampaio, extends the player's commitment until the end of 2030.

Arthur, a product of the club's youth academy, has become a key figure in the professional squad under manager Abel Ferreira. The renewal includes a salary increase to reflect his growing importance, as he previously held one of the lower wages in the squad.

The club's decision follows interest from Italian side Fiorentina during the last transfer window. Reports indicate the Italian club was prepared to offer approximately 13 million euros (nearly R$ 80 million) in fixed and variable amounts, an offer Palmeiras declined to retain the talent.
