Palmi transfers confiscated criminal assets to Ra. Gi Foundation

The municipality of Palmi is transferring a property previously confiscated from organized crime to the Ra. Gi Foundation (Fondazione Ra. Gi Ets – Centri Demenze Calabria). The foundation is a regional leader in providing assistance and innovative services for individuals suffering from dementia and neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer's.

The handover ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, August 26, in Contrada San Leonardo. The event coincides with World Alzheimer's Month, reflecting the local administration's goal to prioritize neurodegenerative diseases on the public agenda and transform sites of criminal oppression into spaces for care and social dignity.

Key attendees include Palmi Mayor Giovanni Calabria, Social Policy Councilor Domenica Bagalà, Public Works Councilor Lucia Muscari, and Ra. Gi Foundation President Elena Sodano. The event will conclude with remarks from Wanda Ferro, Undersecretary at the Ministry of the Interior.
