Palmoli residents request privacy amid influx of tourists

Catherine Birmingham and Nathan Trevallion, known as the ‘family in the woods,’ have issued an urgent plea for privacy following an influx of curious visitors to their home in Palmoli, Italy.

The couple, who gained media attention for their alternative lifestyle, reported being harassed by individuals seeking selfies, photographs, and copies of Birmingham’s book. In one instance, local municipal police were required to intervene due to unauthorized drone filming over their property. Legal representatives noted that during the Ferragosto holiday, vehicles entered their private property to view the residence.

In an open letter, Birmingham expressed gratitude for the public support regarding their efforts to reunite their children but emphasized the immense stress and trauma the family has endured over the last two years. To deter further intrusion, the couple has installed a handmade fence to secure their property.
