Palo Alto hosts entrepreneurship workshop for middle school girls

Fifty middle school girls from the Palo Alto, Mountain View Whisman, and Los Altos school districts participated in the week-long Impact for ALL entrepreneurship workshop held at the Cubberley Community Center from August 3 to August 7.

Led by program director Ellie Hu, a 15-year-old student from Gunn High School, the free workshop aimed to help young girls develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Participants pitched various hypothetical products, including Tasktime, an app designed to require users to complete homework problems to earn screen time.

The initiative was supported by the Think Fund, a local youth grant program managed by the city of Palo Alto.
