Palo Alto Networks faces security review in China

The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) has launched a formal security review of products from the US-based cybersecurity firm Palo Alto Networks, citing national security concerns.

This move marks the third instance of increased regulatory pressure on the company from China this year. While the company has reported strong performance and raised its revenue forecast for 2026, the review poses potential risks to its growth in the Asia-Pacific region, which accounted for approximately 12 percent of its total revenue in fiscal year 2025.

Palo Alto Networks stated that the ongoing review has not yet affected support for existing customers, emphasizing that maintenance of support and update cycles is critical for security solutions.
