Palo Alto restaurants revamp menus with ‘Top Chef’ alumni

Two restaurants in Palo Alto are updating their culinary offerings by partnering with ‘Top Chef’ alumni.

Horsefeather, located in Town & Country Village, is introducing a new menu curated by Casey Thompson. Thompson, a four-time Michelin Bib Gourmand chef and runner-up on ‘Top Chef: Miami’, aims to create a playful menu that incorporates Asian flavors and techniques alongside Southern influences, such as Southern-fried chicken wings with hot chicken butter and Vietnamese pickled vegetables.

Sekoya, situated on California Avenue, is also undergoing a transition with the appointment of Ray Saad as the new head chef. Saad, who appeared on Season 9 of ‘MBC Top Chef’, will lead the restaurant toward a focus on hyperseasonal and local ingredients.
