Paléo Festival in Switzerland stops Moon Music after aviation check
At the Paléo Festival in Nyon, Switzerland, the experimental Moon Music performance—an air‑borne stage using a large helium balloon—was halted for the 49th edition after the Office fédéral de l'aviation civile (OFAC) carried out an on‑site inspection. Organisers, including festival president Daniel Rossellat and the HES‑SO university, agreed the project required additional procedures and could not be completed before the festival’s end.
The festival, which expects around 250,000 attendees, will continue with its scheduled line‑up featuring Twenty One Pilots, Lorde, and other acts, as well as other HES‑SO activities and the return of the magret de canard sandwich. The interruption applies only to the Moon Music installation; the rest of the program remains unchanged.
