Paléo Festival showcases massive Carmina Burana performance

At the Paléo Festival in Switzerland, the Ensemble Vocal Utopie staged Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana on the Vega stage. More than 160 singers, including a children’s choir, performed under the direction of conductor Gonzague Monney. The audience responded with enthusiastic clapping and singing along, turning the classical work into a collective celebration.

The performance was part of the festival’s traditional Sunday classical‑music segment and was followed by a fireworks finale and drone show that capped the event, which attracted roughly 250,000 visitors to the festival grounds.
