Paloma Mizuho Stadium prepares for 2026 Asian Games

Preparations are underway for the Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Nagoya, which will serve as the main venue for the 2026 Asian Games and the 5th Asian Para Games.

Taiyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. has completed the installation of the stadium's membrane roof. The design features 140 unique membrane panels shaped like clouds, utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) to automate design and manufacturing processes. This technology allowed for the efficient handling of complex, varying shapes for the roof structure.

Additionally, Iris Ohyama Co., Ltd. has supplied 28,878 seats for the stadium. The seating includes general seats, group seats, and special seats. The special seats were co-developed with Toyota Boshoku Corporation and feature integrated seat heaters and optimized ergonomics for viewing sports. To ensure accessibility, all seats include braille numbering and high-visibility row plates to support universal design.
