Paloma Páez appointed Enaire regional director for Balearic Islands

Enaire has appointed Paloma Páez as the new regional director for the Balearic Islands, effective September 16. She succeeds Alejandro Mena, who is leaving the position he held since January 2023 to pursue a professional role at Eurocontrol in Brussels.

Páez is a telecommunications engineer specializing in telematics, having studied at the University of the Balearic Islands. She brings approximately 25 years of experience within Enaire to the role. Her career includes serving as an Air Traffic Systems Support Engineer (ATSEP), coordinator of air navigation systems, and head of the Management Support Unit.

Since 2015, she has served as the head of the Regional Technical Exploitation Division in the Balearic region. In her new capacity, she is expected to advance strategic projects outlined in the entity’s ‘Flight Plan 2030’ strategic plan, focusing on the modernization of communication, navigation, and surveillance (CNS) systems.
