Palos de la Frontera offers 16,000 euros in aid for youth housing

The municipality of Palos de la Frontera in Huelva has implemented a financial aid program to assist young residents in purchasing their first homes. The initiative aims to overcome the barrier of the initial down payment, which banks typically require residents to cover themselves.

The aid package provides a non-repayable grant of 10,000 euros combined with a 6,000-euro interest-free municipal loan to be repaid over six years. This total of 16,000 euros is designed to help residents under the age of 35 meet the 20% down payment requirement often demanded by lenders. Local officials estimate that between 300 and 400 homes have already benefited from these measures.
