Palworld hits 40 million players ahead of 1.0 launch

Pocketpair announced that Palworld 1.0 will launch worldwide on 10 July 2026 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and via Xbox Game Pass. The company gave an approximate release time of 12:30 pm Japan time (UTC+9), which translates to 8:30 pm PT on 9 July, 11:30 pm ET on 9 July, and 4:30 am UK time on 10 July. Players may keep their existing saves, but the studio recommends starting a new character because the 27‑page patch includes major mechanic overhauls.

Palworld will retain its current price of $29.99 (≈ €28.99) after the early‑access phase ends, with a short‑term discount still available on Steam. The game has now surpassed 40 million players worldwide, a milestone the developer highlighted on X, noting the figure includes Steam users, Xbox Game Pass participants and other platforms. This rapid growth follows two and a half years of early‑access updates and cross‑platform play.

Palworld passes 40 million players!” the studio posted, thanking the community for its support. The 1.0 update introduces the end‑game “World Tree” region, new creature types, a glider, and other gameplay expansions that aim to extend long‑term player engagement.
