Palworld 1.0 update draws 921,000 concurrent Steam players

Pocketpair released Palworld version 1.0 on July 10, 2024, ending its early‑access period. Within a day the game reached a peak of 921,485 concurrent players on Steam, a rise of more than 1,700 % from the roughly 58,000 users recorded at the end of June. The surge pushed Palworld back into the top‑15 all‑time Steam charts, following its previous record of about 2.1 million concurrent players set in January 2024.

The 1.0 patch adds 72 new Pals, two large new regions (Sunrich’s floating islands and the World Tree), and expands the server limit from 65 to 80 players while raising the level cap to 80. New mechanics such as Awakening and Mutation reshape end‑game progression, and base‑building is now possible on water. Community sentiment has improved, with Steam review scores climbing to 93.4 % positive across more than 435 000 reviews.
